Christoph Görisch is Of Counsel, i.e. he acts for the firm in an advisory role and advises on all matters of public and European law, in particular in the areas of constitutional law, municipal law, savings bank law and data protection law.
In 2018, he became Of Counsel at law firm Streitbörger, in 2019 lecturer for European administrative law at the Faculty of Law of the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna, Austria. Since 2022, he has been professor for public law (constitutional and administrative law) at the Hessian University of Applied Sciences for Public Management and Security in Wiesbaden.

Christoph Görisch studied law in Marburg and Bonn with a scholarship of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. After passing his first state law exam in law in 1995, he completed his national service in a personnel department of the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn. He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Canon Law at the University of Bonn (Prof. Dr. Klaus Schlaich) and obtained his doctorate degree in 1998 from the University of Münster in the field of state-church law. Next, he completed his legal clerkship in Dortmund with an elective practical stage at the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe under President Prof. Dr. Jutta Limbach. After passing his second state law exam in 2000, until 2008, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Public Law at the University of Münster (Prof. Dr. Bodo Pieroth). Since completing his post-doctoral thesis in 2008 (and becoming authorized to teach public law, European law, comparative law, church and state-church law), he has been a private lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Münster. Between 2008 and 2014, he was a senior lecturer (Akademischer Oberrat) at the Faculty of Law at the University of Münster; During this period, he was acting professor at the universities of Bayreuth, Bielefeld, Bremen, Frankfurt am Main, Göttingen, Passau and Würzburg. Between 2014 and 2022, Christoph Görisch was professor for public law (in particular administrative law) at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration (formerly: University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration) NRW in Hagen (until 2018) and Münster (from 2018).
