Karen Schmitz practises primarily in the areas of corporate law as well as commercial and tax criminal law. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Vita
Karen Schmitz studied law with specialised foreign-language training in Spanish in Osnabrück. After her First State Examination in 2020, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Osnabrück. In 2025, she was awarded a doctorate for a thesis on a criminal law topic. She completed her legal traineeship in the district of the Hamm Higher Regional Court. Alongside her studies and traineeship, she volunteered for several years with Weisser Ring e.V. as a support worker for victims of crime. She was admitted to the bar in 2026.
